Eri Papadopoulou, candidate for WAGGGS Europe Committee

The Greek Guiding Association is very proud to present Eri Papadopoulou as a candidate for re-election to the WAGGGS Europe Committee, at the 14th European Guide Conference, in Berlin in August 2013.

Eri has been member of the Regional Committee for the last three years.  She is coming from an Association that is a WAGGGS only admitting boys Association.  She has great experience in working in coeducational settings, safeguarding that the mission of WAGGGS is addressed focusing not only on girls but also on the male members that can discover their fullest potential by being members of a team and working on WAGGGS programmes.

Eri has been working on the External Relations of the Region for more than 6 years and during her current mandate Europe Committee she focused on important partnerships emphasizing the diversity of our membership and the importance of representing one million voices in different stakeholders and decision making platforms, mainly in Europe, with great success.

During her current mandate she has demonstrated good team spirit, clear thinking, target orientation, high sense of responsibility and openness. We believe that it is crucial to have personalities like Eri’s represented in the Committee, who will also maintain the liveliness of her 30’s and continue to be the voice of the youth in the Committee.  In the meantime Eri has always been an active member of our Association, which also proves her loyalty and dedication to the values and principles of Guiding and Scouting.

We are confident that Eri’s skills and personal qualities would be of excellent benefit to the Eurepe Region and we wish her good luck!!
